Time is at a premium for everyone, and that is never a truer statement than for entrepreneurs. Most small business owners have lean teams at the start, and even as they scale, they are still tasked with doing a lot with their time.
First, consider how you use your time now. On any given day, are you bouncing from one task to the next?
Next, with your key business priorities in mind, identify those activities that you can outsource or are not as critical to the operation of your business.
Then, create time blocks on your calendar, and include only those activities that you cannot outsource, that cannot be delayed, and that impact your key priorities. Everything else can wait, and you can create time block to tackle those activities, but it will not be the core of your work and won’t be during those times when you should be focused on what really matters.
Finally, don’t be afraid to say no to events, activities, questions or other distractions that threaten to consume your time when you should be performing your focused, priority work.
